BIO
I am a costume designer and multi-disciplinary artist based in Melbourne, Australia.
Following a 25 year career working as a costume designer in the film and television industry, I took family leave and decided to direct my attention towards my art practice. My art reflects my personal story and the people, places, and issues that matter to me. Whether they be political, environmental, or social, these stories come together to form the base of my art practice.
In 2016, I completed the CREATE Visual Arts course at NCAT. This course stirred my desire to further my education and expand my knowledge and understanding of art. In 2019 I completed a Bachelor of Fine Art at RMIT.
From 2019 to 2021, I taught sewing lessons and garment construction from my studio whilst furthering my painting and sculpture practice.
Now that my two daughters are starting their own careers, I have been inspired to return to the film industry and re-establish my profession as a costume designer.
